Laboratory Support Positions
List of available positions:
Laboratory Manager
To fabricate electrical or mechanical microstructures for the experimental laboratories at our research centre.
Responsibilities include:
- To fabricate electrical or mechanical microstructures which can range from traps for ions or neutral atom, to tailored superconducting electronics
- To work out a manufacturing and characterization plan after discussing the specifications with the various experimental groups
- To work on and realize the structures by accessing the machines in the various research institutes' micro fabrication facilities in Singapore
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree with good honours, in Engineering or Physical Sciences or related field
- At least two years’ working experience in micro fabrication
- Practical knowledge in the following processes are mandatory:
- Micro fabrication:
- Deposition and Growth (PVD, CVD and epitaxy)
- Patterning (Photolithography, e-beam etc.)
- Etching (wet and dry)
- Characterization:
- AFM
- SEM
- STM
- Micro fabrication:
- Knowledge in technologies such as wire bonding will be an advantage
- Prior experience working in laboratories/workshops is an advantage
- Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, self-motivated, good organizational and communication skills
