Electrical engineer: Lu+ optical atomic clock experiment

Job Purpose:

There is a position available at the Centre for Quantum Technologies within the experimental group lead by Associate Prof. Murray Barrett for an experienced electrical engineer.


The project involves the design and implementation of computer controlled electronic systems used in running a high performance optical clock.




  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 2 year's relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of high-speed digital electronics, FPGA programming and electronic design layout is essential.
  • Experience with laser systems would be beneficial but not essential.
